Valley of Fire
Oh my gosh... talk about a beautiful place! We drove through the same type of brown desert and hills with brush for many miles to get here. Then suddenly we began to see bits of red in the rock in the distance. Then ... an explosion of red and pinks and green hues! Too many pictures here but this is only 1/2 what I took... every corner held something interesting in this tiny state park.
The colors are suddenly amazing
Coming into the valley
Suddenly red is all you see
Rocks begin to take shapes
The green brush enhances the color
The stripes are fascinating
Then the tan reappears in areas
But red is present too - deeper tones here
The colors move into each other so quickly
The layers were gorgeous
Perspective of the size of these with the road in the front
The stripes again ... wow
Heading out of the canyon
Cabin built in 1930s
Wild Burros - there were wild horses as well
Back into the tans
