Congaree National Park

We drove through many cotton fields and it was fun to see all the cotton rolled up and ready to be shipped out.

Congaree National Park is a very different park. It is mostly swampland. We took the 2+ mile elevated boardwalk hike as it rained hard that morning. It was fun to see the cyprus trees with their 'knees' sticking up out of the ground. Also all the green moss.

We learned about the tupelo tree that swells with water at the base and then grows tall and slender.
