We did a few day trips to towns nearby and explored.  It was fun to see how different each town was.  Pascagoula is a ship building area with lots of beautiful homes.  It is also the birthplace of Jimmy Buffet of Margararitaville fame.  There is a bridge dedicated to him there.  He signed it Start Here.  Those are the words his grandfather said to him - "Start here.   The world can be yours if you want it to be."

Bay St Louis and Pas Christian were beautiful.  Again gorgeous big homes and they both had harbors with huge boats.  It was also fun to see the shrimp boats lined up.
