Disney

We went to Disney and only spent $35!  Even parking was free.  Of course, we didn't enter a single park or ride on a single ride.  But for us, it was the perfect way to see all the holiday decorations and enjoy a different Disney experience.   Which in some cases was spectacular and other times a let down.   We were a bit surprised to see some resort/hotels do nothing at all. But I guess not all the guests celebrate or maybe its to keep costs down?  Not sure.

The winner for us was probably a tie between the giant gingerbread house at the Grand Floridian and the unexpected fabulous overall Animal Kingdom.  But Wilderness Lodge was pretty amazing, too.

All in all, it was a fun way to see Disney without spending much money at all.   With tickets starting at $150, we didn't feel cheated one bit.  Others I am sure would be sad to miss out on the rides but for us it was a fun and full 2 days.  We had a ball riding the monorail and boats from the various areas.  Just being on the boat in the sunshine was very nice.

Disney Springs was overwhelming with all the people.  I definitely do not recommend being there on a weekend especially around the holidays - but we tried to avoid that as much as possible.
