Seward

Seward was high on my bucket list to go to.  We debated about taking the train or driving.  In the end I am so thankful we drove.  Near Beluga point, Kristina thought she saw something in the water.  Leandro turned the car around and we waited on the side of the road.  She was right!!   A whole pod of belugas!!  They were hard to get a picture of but we all tried.  What an amazing site that I never even hoped I would see!  We never could have seen them on the train. 

It was fun to watch the train weave in and out.  Even with all the construction there was so much to see as we drove that it was fun.  Just to think... we are in ALASKA!!!

We walked around Seward and then stopped for the most delicious crab mac and cheese!  We ended up eating at the bar and the waitress was so energetic and entertaining.  We had ordered the food to go so we couldn't even tip her.  I ordered a beer just so we could give her a big tip but then she comped the beer!
