Big Cypress National Preserve

Driving from Kendall Florida to Fort Myers we decided to stop at the preserve.  What a fun place!   Just a short walk and we saw 20+ gators!   We only saw 2-3 at the Everglades National Park yesterday.   The coolest one was a a big guy that came up suddenly out of the dark water and appeared right in front of us. It was amazing to see how unafraid the birds and fish were of the alligators. This whole ride along hwy 41 (the 'old' Alligator Alley) has been so fun with amazing number of egrets, herons, cormorants and other birds.
