Lake Higgins

We had a quiet stay in the Lake Higgins area.   We went to the lake which apparently Jacques Consteau named as the 6th most beautiful lakes... we still don't really know why.  It was pretty and very clear water but nothing too special in our opinion.

I love the cattails - my mother and her mother did too.   Special memories - especially the year I picked a bunch for mom and she put them in water.  The next morning they had seeded and they were everywhere!   PS-  I wish the moose in the photo was real!  It was not.

We took a day to travel up to Lewiston to see the Coopersville and then went to the Frog Tiki bar.

Both very fun stops.   We were surprised to see how much Coopersville had to offer. It was built by a man who loved John Wayne and the Wild West.  It was sad to see he died in 2020 but they have kept things up well.  So much detail in the buildings of vintage items.  Everything is open except for a few precious memorabilia that are behind glass and it was all free.

The Tiki bar was just fun to visit in the middle of Michigan -we did see some lizards around though so that felt very Florida like!

Now it is on to Oscoda, MI and views of Lake Huron!
