It is always wonderful to come back near the Twin Cities so we can see family and friends!

It was a busy week with lots of stops but also lots of fun. We enjoyed being able to be back at the Renaissance Fair one beautiful morning with Julia and Hannah. Later in the week, Deb and Brian scored a boat for us again to check out Lake Waconia which was a complete joy and a very relaxed afternoon. We got to meet a brand new puppy, Trixie! We had several lunches and dinners with friends and family, got my toes done and even a trip to the zoo with my granddaughter and soon-to-be daughter-in-law.

We explored a very unique place in Lakeville one afternoon. Hot Sam's is known as part antique store, part photo op location, part junkyard and part amusement park. That describes it as well as anything! EVERYTHING there is for sale...

We were also able to pick up the new truck just in time for the trip west. Thanks, Jay, for all you did to make this happen on time. We are so excited to finally begin our journey to Glacier and Yellowstone! But first we head to Bemidji to wait out the Labor Day crowds. If you have places for us to eat, hike or visit - let us know!
