Silver Springs

Silver Springs was incredible - one of our favorite springs so far! The springs were that gorgeous unexplainable blue - green - aqua color that your eyes just can't get enough of and the camera can't capture. We took the longer glass bottom boat tour which was wonderful in and of itself but also because there was a pregnant manatee hanging in the bay. There were volunteers in kayaks keeping visitors away from her but if the boat was just floating and she choose you - that was okay. She did choose us! She floated right under the boat! There were birds and alligators and wonderful stories about how the spring has been used over the years from tourists to movie locations. We were lucky enough to see the monkeys on the island as well.
