Death Valley 

Death Valley was not the completely brown, dry desert we were expecting!  It was very desolute to be sure.  But the areas were so different - canyons, salt plats, dunes.  It is hard to imagine anything (including the Timbisha Shoshone Tribe that still lives in  ~ and protects ~ the valley) or any sort of plants or animals could live there.  We watched a movie at the visitor center about the area and it was very interesting.

This is what it says!   We were -282' below sea level! 

Warm - in the 80s but not as warm as it can be here!
