Death Valley
Death Valley was not the completely brown, dry desert we were expecting! It was very desolute to be sure. But the areas were so different - canyons, salt plats, dunes. It is hard to imagine anything (including the Timbisha Shoshone Tribe that still lives in ~ and protects ~ the valley) or any sort of plants or animals could live there. We watched a movie at the visitor center about the area and it was very interesting.
