Sequoia  National Park

Kings Canyon

The week with BIlly and Cherice was filled with all sorts of adventures!   From climbing way down the hillside (then back up) to see General Sherman tree, to stopping by the roadside to grab some fruit off trees to see what they were, to taking a 12 hour travel day to the Pacific Ocean - we had a great time together.

We did enjoy our time in the Sequoia National Park.  The trees are amazing.  We truly could not capture how huge they are.  We took a couple hikes to check them out and enjoy the sunshine day.

We took a daytrip into Fresno and went to Bravo Farms where Billy and Cherice checked out the 7 story treehouse and Bill did a little target practice.

Day 3 we decided to make the long trip to the Pacific Ocean. Click here to see photos of that lovely day.   California Coast - Montrey to Big Sur

One day we hung out at their winery Airbnb and did a tasting.

On our last day in the area with them we went to Kings Canyon.   While remaining snow in the area has the road closed down in the Canyon - we did really enjoy hiking around Hume Lake.

The day started with a bang when we picked them up.  It was Bill's birthday

The Target parking lot all knew it by the time we arrived

So did everyone at Olive Garden!

Day two we were off to the Sequoia National Park and were immediately in awe

We sent Billy out to see what kind of trees these were

Two come out!

Massive fire damage to General Grant but still it lives on

The top looks fine

Hard to even see the edges but this is the 'footprint' of General Grant
