Devils Lake

North Dakota so far has been a pleasant surprise. Graham Island State Park is where we have been staying and it is, as it suggests, an actual island so driving out over the water is really fun. We did a hike all around the island and enjoyed the water views. We drove to Sully's Hill National Game Preserve and took a hike there as well. We did get to see the maintained bison and elk herds. There were also prairie dogs! Fort Totten was closed but we were able to walk around and peek in the windows to get a feel of the history of the place.

We had wonderful pretzel bites in beer cheese sauce at Proz Lakeside at the Cove and some good mexican food at Charras and Tequila - thanks for the suggestions, Sheila!
